Let’s be real, if you’ve ever daydreamed about sipping a fresh coconut under swaying palms trees or watching the sunset over an infinity pool, Bali probably popped up in your mental Pinterest board at some point.

But lately, we heard more and more people asking: Is Bali still worth visiting, or is it just totally overrun?

So lets talk about itbecause, spoiler alert: Bali is still magic. But yes, it has changed.

The Truth About the Crowds:

Okay, first things first: Bali isnt exactly a hidden gem anymore. Places like Canggu and Seminyak are buzzing. Think scooters, influencers, beach bars, and yes... queues at some of the most

Instagram-famous cafes. Its vibrant and fun, but if you’re dreaming of empty beaches and quiet rice paddies 24/7, it might not be your vibe unless you know where to look.

But Here's the Good News...

Bali isnt just Canggu and Seminyak. This island is packed with hidden corners and low-key villages that still feel untouched. Head a bit north to places like Sidemen or Lovina for a completely different experience lush, peaceful, and way fewer tourists.

Even in the busy areas, you can find pockets of calm. Rent a villa tucked into the rice fields of Ubud or escape to a cliffside Airbnb in Bingin with insane ocean views and hardly any noise except the waves.

Why Bali Is Still Worth It:

- Incredible value: Bali is still one of the best places in the world for affordable luxury. Gorgeous stays, delicious food, and world-class wellness experiences, all at a fraction of what you’d pay in Europe or the U.S.

- The culture: The Balinese people, their traditions, the ceremonies there’s something deeply spiritual and grounding here that you don’t get everywhere.

- Nature + adventure: Waterfalls, volcano hikes, snorkeling with manta rays, jungle swings, its all still here, and still breathtaking.

- The digital nomad scene: If youre working remotely (or dreaming about it), Bali is basically a dream, great cafes, coworking spaces, and an inspiring community of creatives.

Tips to Avoid the Overwhelm:

- Skip the high season: Visit during shoulder seasons like AprilJune or SeptemberNovember for fewer crowds and better deals.

- Explore early mornings: Popular spots like Tegenungan Waterfall or Lempuyang Temple are so much nicer at sunrise. Trust meworth the early wake-up.

- Stay off the beaten path: Dont just follow the top 10 lists. Some of the best spots aren’t even on Google Maps yet (but shhh, I spill the secrets in my guides!).

Final Thoughts:

So, is Bali overcrowded? In some places, yes. But is it still worth visiting? Absolutely if you do it right. The magic is still here, waiting for you between the rice terraces and temple offerings. You just need to know where to look (and luckily, thats kind of my thing).
